Job summary

Campfront is seeking a Software Engineer to own the engineering side of customer support. You will bridge bug fixes and roadmap features across Rails and React, triaging issues and shipping quick fixes during the busy summer season.

You will collaborate with a lean, autonomous team, monitor error tracking, and ensure high availability of the platform for camps nationwide, while communicating clearly with camp directors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and maintaining full‑stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
• Ability to work in a high accountability role, responsive during peak season.
• Strong debugging intuition and the ability to trace issues across unfamiliar codebases.

Responsibilities

• Triage, reproduce, and resolve camp-reported bugs across the full stack using Ruby on Rails, React, and Postgres.
• Direct communication with camp directors to set expectations and provide status updates on high-priority issues.
• Monitor error tracking tools to catch and fix issues before impacting camp operations.
