Job summary

Aonics in San Francisco is seeking a hands-on software engineer to own the customer-facing platform, the multi-tenant web app used by our customers to review findings and manage sites, and the behind-the-scenes API.

You will take features from requirements through design, implementation, deployment, and support, working on Django API, React frontend, and data paths from field to platform, in a small, autonomous team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and shipping production web applications end to end.
• Strong Python and Django, including API design.
• Strong TypeScript and React; we use Vite, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, and TanStack Query.
• Postgres beyond CRUD: schema design, query performance, multi-tenant access patterns.
• Experience operating what you build in production.
• Able to work independently on a small team with limited process.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer portal end to end, across the Django API and the React frontend
• Build multi-tenant features with per-customer data isolation
• Build map-based interfaces for site layouts and findings
• Own the data path from the field into the platform
• Deploy your own work and act as first responder for customer-reported issues
