Job summary

VTG seeks an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to modernize legacy applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will build RESTful APIs, web UIs in React/Angular/Vue, and ETL processes, with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.

Responsibilities include unit testing, code reviews, Selenium-based testing, and mentoring junior developers. You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment on on-site duties in Chantilly, VA, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• BS degree and 6–11 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Cloud experience with AWS.
• Web UI development with React/Angular/Vue.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience modernizing legacy apps with full-stack approaches.
• Relational database design and querying (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).
• Experience with ETL methods and AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy applications using full-stack design and development techniques.
• Develop backend apps with Java and Spring Boot.
• Build web UIs with React/Angular/Vue (TypeScript).
• Configure and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure.
• Create RESTful API endpoints per standards.
• Design and implement ETL processes.
• Analyze requirements to deliver robust software solutions.
• Design database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).
• Develop and run unit tests; conduct peer code reviews.
• Create and execute automated tests (Selenium).
