Job summary

Thrive Therapies Group is hiring a part-time Full-Stack Engineer Intern to join our product and technology team. You will build real features and internal tools using Python (FastAPI) and React with TypeScript, and expand automated test coverage while learning how a production healthcare platform is designed, secured and shipped.

You will work day to day with our Full-Stack Engineer and report to our Chief Product and Technology Officer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build features and internal tools in Python (FastAPI) and React with TypeScript.
• Work in an AI-assisted workflow from plan to build, test, review and submit.
• Ship low-risk changes through feature branches and PRs and review.
• Demo your work weekly and incorporate feedback from engineers and users.
• Shadow providers and operations teams to understand workflows you are building for.

About the Role

Thrive Therapies Group is hiring a part-time Full-Stack Engineer Intern to join our product and technology team. You will build real features and internal tools, grow our automated test coverage, and learn how a production healthcare platform is designed, secured and shipped. You will work day to day with our Full-Stack Engineer and report to our Chief Product and Technology Officer. Our stack is Python and FastAPI, React and TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with AI tools used throughout development.

What You'll Do

Build scoped features and internal tools in Python (FastAPI) and React with TypeScript

Work in an AI-assisted workflow that moves from plan to build, test, review and submit

Ship low-risk changes through feature branches and pull request review

Demo your work each week and take feedback from engineers and users

Shadow providers and operations teams to understand the workflows you are building for

How We Work

AI-native by default. We plan, build, test, review and submit with AI tools in the loop, and we expect you to reach for them without being asked.

Weekly operating cadence. We plan on Monday, build continuously through the week, and release when the work is ready and tested.

Forward-deployed. The people who build a tool also own its adoption. We sit with providers and operations teams, feel the manual pain first, then automate it.

Plan, do, check, act. We write down what we intend, build it, measure whether it worked, and adjust.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

At least one project with a web front end and a database, shared through GitHub or a portfolio

Regular use of AI coding tools

Availability of 15 to 20 hours per week with overlap during US Central business hours

Ability to complete HIPAA training and pass a background check

Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform

Preferred Experience

SQL and PostgreSQL

Experience with automated testing frameworks

Interest in healthcare, education or disability services
