Job summary

RTX in San Diego, CA is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer I for the Sensors, Space and Air Software team. You will design, code, test, and deploy data-driven software across back-end data processing, front-end interfaces, and DevSecOps. Work in an agile environment supporting real-time distributed systems and situational awareness capabilities.

The role requires a STEM degree, proficiency in Java, Python, C++, Ada, and Java UI frameworks, plus experience with Linux. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM (e.g., CS, software engineering) from an accredited institution.
Proficiency/Knowledge of Java, Python, C++, Ada, scripting.
Java UI frameworks such as SWING and JavaFX.
Red Hat Linux operating environment.
Familiarity with tactical data links and radar/civilian data sources.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and collaborate.

Responsibilities

Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Assist in deriving system and software requirements, modeling, and analysis.
Design, code, unit test, integrate, maintain and document software applications.
Participate in peer reviews and technical decision-making with multidisciplinary teams.
Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
Follow established software development processes to maintain product integrity.
Work onsite at our San Diego, CA Campus.
Eligibility to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship required.
