Job summary

Raytheon Technologies' Secure Product Assurance team in San Diego seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer I to join the Sensors, Space and Air Software group. You will design, code, integrate, and test modern, data-driven systems across backend processing, frontend interfaces, and DevSecOps automation.

You will work within an Agile team to deliver real-time data collection, processing, and visualization for complex distributed environments, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited institution, obtained by start date.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, and Ada with scripting skills.
• Experience with Java UI frameworks (Swing, JavaFX) and Red Hat Linux.
• Ability to learn new technologies and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of DoD-related tools and software development practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative software solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle with HW/SW integration when required.
• Derive system and software requirements, model architectures, and perform technical analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, maintain and document software in a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision making with program leadership.
• Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software development processes to maintain product integrity.
• Onsite work at the San Diego campus.
