Job summary

Stripe is seeking full‑stack engineers to impact the tools and infrastructure powering global customer support. We collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Infrastructure, Product, and Operations to deliver reliable systems that agents and merchants rely on daily, including live channels and real‑time case routing.

The role requires Mandarin fluency and 5+ years of software engineering, with React and Ruby as core technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Native Mandarin fluency.
• Full-stack engineering with frontend proficiency; React and Ruby are our primary technologies.
• Superior communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Reasoned judgement to unblock yourself and progress in ambiguous domains.
• Comfortable as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack services and infrastructure that support global agents and merchants in real time.
• Expand and deepen live channel integrations across Stripe's support operations.
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and stacks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build new features at scale, improving standards, tooling, and processes.
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed and hybrid team with open communication.
