Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior software engineer to drive the deployment of OpenAI technology into new environments for public sector customers. You will own end-to-end development of customer-facing ChatGPT and API features, working with product, security, and compliance teams to meet specialized requirements.

You will partner with researchers to align models and data with public sector needs, and collaborate across engineering, design, and operations to deliver high-impact solutions that scale

Qualifications

• 9+ years of engineering experience at product-driven tech companies.
• Proficient in JavaScript/React; strong Python backend ability.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and Terraform; interest in AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of customer-facing OpenAI features for public sector.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance to deploy in new environments.
