Job summary

Tracium is building AI-assisted technical documentation software for complex manuals and engineering data. You will turn AI and document processing into a product used by technical authors and engineers, working across the editor, backend services, and integrations.

You will ship features that let users create structured documentation without XML tags, review AI suggestions with sources, and implement robust APIs with secure workflows. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping and maintaining production web applications.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills.
• Backend development experience with Python or Node.js.
• Experience designing APIs and working with relational databases.
• A practical approach to testing, security, accessibility, and maintainable code.
• An interest in making complex workflows straightforward for users.
• Clear communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Build an intuitive editor that lets users create structured technical documentation without working directly with XML tags.
• Develop interfaces for reviewing extracted information and AI suggestions alongside their sources.
• Create workflows for editing, validation, version comparison, and document export.
• Build backend APIs and integrate document processing and AI services.
• Implement access controls, audit history, and reliable handling of long-running tasks.
• Improve responsiveness and performance when working with large documents.
• Work closely with the founders and domain experts to translate feedback into product improvements.
