Job summary

Essex Management is seeking a capable Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join the enterprise team. You will contribute to the development and deployment of biomedical informatics software supporting cancer trials and research.

You’ll work primarily remotely in the US with occasional on-site presence at the Rockville, MD HQ, about 10% of the year for kickoffs and town halls. Strong collaboration and modern cloud tooling are required.

Qualifications

• 6 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with Azure cloud stack and related services.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual task priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and performant enterprise software systems and services for clients using OO programming languages.
• Write well-tested code with unit, integration, and BDD tests.
• Contribute to architecture diagrams, API docs, and SOPs.
• Participate in SCRUM sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retros.
• Work in a CI/CD Agile SCRUM environment to move features across tiers.
• Mentor junior team members and shadow senior staff during interviews.
• Proactively improve engineering practices.
