Job summary

The Emmes Company is seeking a Software Engineer (Front-End) for Essex Management, mostly remote in the United States with occasional in-person HQ visits in Rockville, Maryland.

You will join a software engineering team developing enterprise health IT and clinical trial informatics solutions, focusing on scalable front-end components and collaboration in SCRUM, leveraging Azure-based infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Python, Java or similar languages.
• Experience building enterprise software on Azure with containers and services.
• Familiarity with ORM (SQLAlchemy) and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Experience RESTful APIs or gRPC and data formats like JSON/XML.
• Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) development with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Manage task priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Develop scalable enterprise software and services.
• Write well-tested code with unit/integration/BDD tests.
• Contribute to architecture diagrams, API docs, SOPs.
• Participate in SCRUM sprint planning, standups, reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and shadow senior staff.
