Job summary

Commerce is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Engineering Services team. You will contribute to the end-to-end development of single-click apps on the BigCommerce App Marketplace, collaborating across backend services (Node/TypeScript and PHP) and frontend (React).

You will work on data migration projects and ensure production reliability with strong test coverage. You have 3+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on skills in Node.js/TypeScript, PHP, React, and Next.js.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with backend in Node.js/TypeScript and/or PHP, and frontend with React/Next.js.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs, REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design, build, and maintain single-click apps across the full stack (backend and frontend).
• Integrate with BigCommerce platform APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows.
• Write performant, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage and scalable design.
