Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for the ChatGPT Learning team, based in San Francisco or New York City with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office) and relocation assistance.

You will design and build new product experiences that enable millions of people to learn with ChatGPT, working across the stack—from user interfaces to backend services—to ship features that make learning intuitive, engaging, and effective.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack web development for consumer products.
• Ability to work across the stack from frontend to backend services.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies and APIs.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers and platform teams to translate AI advances into products.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product experiences that help people learn with ChatGPT.
• Design and implement multimodal capabilities (text, images, voice, interactive interfaces) for learning workflows.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs powering learning features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to prototype and ship ideas quickly.
• Improve performance, reliability, and usability of learning experiences across ChatGPT surfaces.
• Iterate on features using experimentation and user feedback to improve learning experiences.
