Job summary

OpenAI is seeking full-stack engineers to build new, AI-native products on top of ChatGPT Work and Codex aimed at financial services. You will own the stack, work with customers to understand workflows, and collaborate with teams to turn model capabilities into trusted, scalable solutions for finance.

This role shapes how some of the world’s largest financial institutions adopt AI and how financial knowledge work gets done, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and enterprise usability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern web technologies, plus backend services in Python/Go/Rust/TypeScript.
• Experience designing API-driven interfaces and integrations for cohesive UX.
• Strong product instincts to turn ambiguous problems into solid solutions.
• Comfort shipping across the stack and organizational boundaries.
• High standards for usability, reliability, security, and performance in enterprise contexts.
• Interest in AI and applying model capabilities to professional work.
• Experience as founder or early startup engineer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build a new financial services app within ChatGPT Work and Codex.
• Develop enterprise memory experiences learning from an organization's data.
• Develop APIs, services, and integrations with financial data providers, enterprise systems, and OpenAI models.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn problems into usable products.
• Work with financial institutions to understand needs and deploy solutions.
• Partner with research, security, infra, and other teams to scale from prototype to production.
