Job summary

Varick is seeking Platform and Product Engineers to build core infrastructure and the product surface powering agent deployments. This full-stack role covers backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise dashboards.

You’ll create the orchestration layer for agent execution and shipping dashboards that clients interact with, all within production-grade systems. You’ll work across backend services and product interfaces, ensuring reliability and performance.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Platform and Product Engineers build the core infrastructure and product surface that powers Varick’s agent deployments. You’re not client-facing day to day — you’re building the systems that make every deployment faster, more reliable, and more repeatable.

This is a full stack engineering role. You’ll work across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and product interfaces. The work ranges from building the orchestration layer that coordinates agent execution to shipping the dashboards and controls that clients interact with. Every line of code you write runs inside real enterprise operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build and maintain backend services for agent orchestration, tool calling, and workflow execution


• Design and ship product interfaces for agent monitoring, human-in-the-loop controls, and client dashboards


• Build data pipelines that connect to enterprise systems (ERPs, CRMs, data warehouses)


• Develop internal tooling that accelerates deployment and reduces per-client engineering time


• Own reliability, observability, and performance for production systems


• Work closely with FDEs to turn client-specific solutions into reusable platform capabilities

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building production systems


• Strong backend fundamentals — APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems


• Full stack capability — you can build a backend service and the UI that sits on top of it


• Experience with Python in production


• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) — containers, managed databases, CI/CD


• You care about code quality, testing, and shipping things that don’t break at 3am

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with enterprise system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, ETL pipelines)


• Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent frameworks


• Frontend experience (React, Next.js, or similar)


• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi)


• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS or platform products


• Startup or early-stage company experience
