RCT Systems, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to modernize legacy applications and build secure, cloud-based systems. The role involves creating Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and Angular/TypeScript front ends, while leveraging AWS/EC2 and Linux command line tools.

You will participate in Agile/Scrum, mentor juniors, and produce technical documentation. Ideal candidates have experience with REST APIs, Git/Jenkins/Jira/Confluence, and possess TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Experience with Angular/TypeScript and REST APIs in modern web applications.
• Proficiency with Linux (Red Hat) and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Version control with Git and CI/CD with Jenkins; Jira/Confluence for project tracking.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and mentor junior developers.

Join a 200+ person technical development program supporting government entitlement, Identity & Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), authentication/authorization, attributes, and digital policy systems. The role focuses on modernizing legacy applications and building secure, reliable cloud-based systems.

Core responsibilities:

• Modernize and maintain legacy applications
• Build Java/Spring Boot REST APIs
• Develop Angular/TypeScript front ends
• Work with AWS/EC2 and Linux command line
• Develop custom ETL solutions
• Perform unit testing, Selenium automation, and peer code reviews
• Work in Agile/Scrum
• Collaborate with technical teams and mentor junior developers
• Create technical documentation and troubleshoot complex technical issues
