Averity in New York is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a founder-adjacent engineering team and own critical features end-to-end. You will work across Python backends and React front-ends, building APIs, data models, and AI-powered workflows while shipping high-impact capabilities in a fast-growing environment.

You’ll collaborate with founders, customers, and domain experts, shaping where AI belongs in the product and driving reliable, scalable software delivery.

I’m partnering with a growing NYC software company building a complex, data-heavy SaaS platform focused on the physical world.

They’re hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, founder-adjacent engineering team and take real ownership across the product.

This is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys hard technical problems, full-stack ownership, messy real-world data, and applied AI.

What you’ll work on:

• Build and ship features end-to-end across Python backend services and React applications
• Develop APIs, data models, infrastructure and data-ingestion workflows
• Work on LLM and agentic systems for extraction, mapping and automation
• Improve reliability and observability across AI-powered workflows
• Partner closely with founders, customers and domain experts
• Help shape where AI belongs in the product — and where it doesn’t

What they’re looking for:

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production experience with Python
• Strong hands-on experience with React
• Production experience with AWS
• Proven ability to independently ship full-stack product features
• Experience in startup, growth-stage or similarly high-ownership environments
• Strong product instincts and comfort working in loosely defined environments

Experience with LLMs, RAG, agents or production AI systems is highly valued, but exceptional full-stack engineers without deep AI experience will still be considered.

The broader stack includes FastAPI, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, SQS, Lambda and modern AI development tooling.

The culture is low-meeting, async-first and highly autonomous. Engineers are expected to write clearly, move quickly and own meaningful pieces of the product.

$170K–$200K base + equity
