Job summary

SearchWorks is hiring a Full Stack Product Engineer to build AI-first products from scratch using Python, React and TypeScript. This founding-engineer role offers ownership across the stack and the chance to shape the product from idea to production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial full-stack development with Python and React.
• 2+ years of AI/LLM experience or significant AI-enabled app development.
• Startup/scale-up experience and hands-on engineering mindset.
• Ability to own features end-to-end across the stack.
• Strong CS/Engineering/Math/AI/Data Science background; advanced degree preferred.
• InsurTech/FinTech experience is a plus.

Full Stack Product Engineer - Python & React

This is a startup-style, founding-engineer-type opportunity for a full-stack engineer who enjoys being a jack of all trades - moving between backend, frontend, APIs, data and AI, and taking ownership from idea through production.

The Role

• Build greenfield products from scratch using Python, React and TypeScript.
• Work across the full stack and own features end-to-end.
• Build AI-heavy products using LLMs, AI agents and modern AI technologies.
• Develop APIs, backend services, integrations and data pipelines.
• Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering to shape the product.
• Solve complex problems in a fast-paced startup environment.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial full-stack development with Python and React.
• 2+ years of AI/LLM experience or significant experience building AI-enabled applications.
• Startup/scale-up experience and a broad, hands-on engineering mindset.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working across the stack.
• Strong ownership, autonomy and product mindset.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, AI, Data Science or another STEM discipline.
• A strong university background is preferred, with Master's/PhD from a leading university highly desirable.
• InsurTech/FinTech experience is a plus
