Toptal’s Elite Network is seeking a full-stack developer to extend a Point-of-Care controller for connected analyzers. You will work on Java Spring Boot backend and React/TypeScript frontend within an Electron-based application.

Join a small distributed team on a 40h/week contract, located hybrid in Durham, NC, and contribute to features, defects, and technical decisions across UI, backend, and integration with external partners.

Summary:

The client operates in a regulated device and diagnostics environment. They need a full-stack developer to extend a Point-of-Care controller for connected analyzers. The role combines Java Spring Boot backend work with React/TypeScript frontend development in an Electron-based application.

Context & Scope:

This is an end-to-end product development role on a small distributed team. The work focuses on implementing new controller features, resolving defects, and supporting technical decisions across UI, business analysis, verification, and external partners. The talent will influence application behavior and delivery quality, not product strategy.

Tasks and Deliverables:

• Implement Java Spring Boot business logic.
• Build and maintain React and TypeScript UI features.
• Review feature designs and propose technical options.
• Contribute to technical decisions and code reviews.
• Collaborate with design, analysis, verification, and partner teams.

• Experience in Java software development for embedded devices.
