Job summary

Kaav Inc is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to own 60% front-end work in Angular and 40% back-end work in Java/Spring Boot. This contract role requires onsite presence in Charlotte, NC (3 days/week) with an in-person interview process.

The ideal candidate will design scalable web applications, develop robust APIs, and collaborate across the full software development lifecycle, including tests and code reviews.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our development team and build scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. This role will focus approximately 60% on front-end development using Angular and 40% on back-end development using Java and related technologies.

The ideal candidate has strong experience developing modern user interfaces, designing robust APIs, and collaborating across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development — 60%

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular.
• Build reusable components, modules, and front-end services.
• Implement user interfaces based on business and design requirements.
• Integrate Angular applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.
• Apply best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and usability.
• Write unit and integration tests using tools such as Jasmine, Karma, or Jest.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product owners to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Back-End Development — 40%

• Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and integrations.
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.

• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Angular Material, RxJS, NgRx, or other state-management libraries.
• Experience with Java persistence technologies such as JPA or Hibernate.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of web application security principles.
• Experience working with monitoring and logging tools.
