Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to join our development team in Austin. You will build and maintain modern web applications across the front and back end, collaborating in an agile environment.

The role demands 5+ years of software development, strong backend skills (Java, Python, or Node.js), REST APIs, databases, and cloud deployments. Hybrid work: 3 days onsite, 2 remote; pay range of $65–70 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Solid understanding of Git, version control, and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• Experience deploying to and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Responsibilities

About the Role

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time data processing
• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, PyTest)
• Background working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)

These job duties require attainment of at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field.

Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as 401K contributions.
