Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to join our development team in Austin. You will build and maintain modern web applications across the front and back end, collaborating in an agile environment.

The role demands 5+ years of software development, strong backend skills (Java, Python, or Node.js), REST APIs, databases, and cloud deployments. Hybrid work: 3 days onsite, 2 remote; pay range of $65–70 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Solid understanding of Git, version control, and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• Experience deploying to and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable front-end applications using frontend libraries and frameworks.
• Develop robust back-end services and APIs using backend technologies.
• Work on existing application tech debt and improve maintenance.
• Manage and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Improve performance by caching both on the client side and server side.
• Ensure seamless integration between the front-end components and back-end logic.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use and maintain technical documentation.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance across various devices.
• Implement security and data protection protocols to ensure application integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate epics into deliverable features.
• Conduct thorough unit testing and debugging to maintain high code quality and reliability.
• Manage version control and deployment pipelines.
