Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Software Engineering - Full Stack Developer - Advanced to join our Columbus team on a contract basis. Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development as an individual contributor.
• Strong Java, OOP and functional patterns, concurrency, collections, and performance profiling.
• Advanced Spring Boot covering controllers, validation, exception handling, filters, interceptors, content negotiation, file streaming, and async processing.
• Spring Data/JPA with entity modeling, transactions, isolation levels, pagination, and query tuning.
• Spring Security with OAuth2/OIDC, method-level security, CORS/CSRF, and secure token/session handling.
• Kafka design and operations including topics, partitions, producers/consumers, consumer groups, Avro schemas, Kafka Connect/Streams, ACLs/TLS, and monitoring/tuning.
• API integration with resilient clients, including timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, and request signing when required.
• Frontend React and TypeScript, component design, hooks, state management, routing, forms, and client-side error handling.

• Caching with Redis, TTL design, stampede prevention, and invalidation strategies.
• Observability with structured logging and correlation IDs, metrics and SLOs, OpenTelemetry tracing, and actionable alarms.
• Security-first mindset including RBAC/ABAC, least privilege in app and AWS IAM, SAST/dependency scanning, and secure secrets handling without code or log exposure.

Preferred Skills

• API contract testing with Pact and performance testing with load tools.
