Job summary

BCforward in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer / Application Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on C#/.NET development, SQL Server, IIS administration, and modern DevOps tooling to design, deploy, and support secure, scalable enterprise applications.

You will design, develop, and maintain applications, build REST APIs, implement CI/CD with Jenkins, and automate deployments with Ansible while collaborating with architects, QA, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core/.NET 6, EF, and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL Server skills and experience with T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience hosting and supporting applications in IIS.
• Version control with Git and Bitbucket.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins.
• Automation with Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of OO design and software architecture patterns.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Infrastructure and deployment automation with Ansible.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture patterns.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft IIS deep administration experience.

• Angular or React for front-end development.

• Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Azure DevOps or Azure Cloud Services.

• PowerShell scripting for automation.

• Microservices architecture design and implementation.

• SSIS and SSRS experience.

• Domain experience in financial services, energy, or large enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Additional Details:

• Expectation for Start: 2-4 weeks after offer. This role requires a specific start date and resources that can meet it.
