Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for the Data Platform on the Starlink program. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, ingest, process, store, and query at petabyte scale, and collaborate with architecture, design, and code reviews.

Required: 1+ year in full stack or data roles, 2+ years experience in lieu of a degree, and languages like Scala/Java/C#/Python/Go; frontend with Angular/React; big data tools like Kafka, Spark, and Hive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform for ingesting, processing, storing, and querying at petabyte-scale
• Create end-to-end data pipelines to improve SpaceX operations
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Build prototypes to validate design concepts and constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Apply first principles thinking to business problems
