Job description

Finance & Accounting | Procurement | Middle Office

Location: Downtown Boston, MA | In-Office

Syntagma Group is growing, and we are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Full Desk Recruiter to join our team in the heart of Downtown Boston.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional recruiting seat. As a Full Desk Recruiter, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with clients, develop new business, recruit top talent, manage the full recruiting process, and grow your own book of business.

Our specialty areas include Finance & Accounting, Procurement, and Middle Office functions across a wide range of industries. We are not a technology staffing firm — our focus is on the professionals who keep businesses running, from accounting and finance leaders to procurement, operations, project, compliance, and other middle-office talent.

What You'll Do
  • Develop new client relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market outreach
  • Build and manage your own book of business while expanding existing client relationships
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies
  • Source, identify, interview, and present high-quality candidates
  • Build and maintain a strong network of professionals within your specialty areas
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from initial client contact through candidate placement and follow-up
  • Conduct candidate outreach, screening, interviewing, and reference checks
  • Negotiate offers and assist with the closing process
  • Maintain consistent communication with both clients and candidates throughout the process
  • Stay current on hiring trends, compensation, talent availability, and market conditions
  • Collaborate with the Syntagma team to identify opportunities, share market intelligence, and deliver the right talent to our clients
  • Develop long-term relationships rather than simply filling individual openings
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with approximately 1–6 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, sales, business development, or another relationship-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Competitive, motivated, and results-oriented
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and developing new relationships
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Naturally curious and interested in understanding both people and businesses
  • Organized and able to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously
  • Confident speaking with candidates, hiring managers, and senior-level professionals
  • Persistent and comfortable with the business-development side of recruiting
  • Coachable, entrepreneurial, and eager to build a career
  • Someone who enjoys working in an energetic, collaborative in-office environment

Staffing experience is preferred, but we will also consider strong sales professionals who want to make the transition into recruiting.

Why Syntagma?

At Syntagma Group, we believe quality matters more than quantity. We take a highly personalized approach to staffing and focus on building lasting relationships with both our clients and candidates.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals with deep market knowledge while developing your own expertise and client portfolio.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Prime Downtown Boston location
  • Collaborative, in-office team environment
  • Exposure to senior-level Finance & Accounting and business professionals
  • Opportunity to work across Finance & Accounting, Procurement, and Middle Office
  • Significant opportunity for career growth
  • Direct exposure to clients and hiring managers
  • The ability to build and own your own book of business
  • A team-oriented environment where your success is visible and rewarded
  • The opportunity to develop both recruiting and sales/business-development skills
This Could Be a Great Fit If...

You’re currently a recruiter who wants more ownership.

You’re a staffing professional who wants to develop the business-development side of the desk.

Or you’re a successful sales professional who enjoys building relationships and wants to turn those skills into a career in recruiting and staffing.

If you’re competitive, driven, personable, and ready to build something of your own, we’d like to meet you.

Join Syntagma Group and build your career, your network, and your business.
