Job summary

Lamar University seeks an HR Recruiter to support full-cycle recruitment and a positive candidate experience. The role involves developing job postings, screening applicants, coordinating onboarding, and tracking recruitment metrics across campus.

Collaborate with hiring managers, HR leadership, and campus stakeholders to build pipelines, ensure compliant processes, andUltimately improve recruitment outcomes and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in talent acquisition or related field.
• Minimum of two years in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in higher education.
• Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards relevant to higher education.
• Experience with ATS and resume management systems, preferably in academia.
• Ability to design and evaluate recruitment strategies and outreach plans.
• Experience measuring recruitment metrics to guide decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders across campus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and post job advertisements across the university career site and job boards.
• Screen and evaluate applications to match minimum qualifications and needs.
• Maintain proactive candidate communication for a positive experience.
• Track requisition activity and recruitment data within ATS systems.
• Participate in job fairs and outreach to support talent attraction.
• Extend offers and coordinate pre-employment processes.
• Coordinate onboarding logistics and New Hire Orientation sessions.
• Partner with departments to assess staffing needs and recruit strategically.
• Train hiring managers on compliant recruitment practices.
• Support retention and employee engagement initiatives.
