Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation seeks a motivated Recruiter to manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening through offers and onboarding, in collaboration with hiring managers to identify qualified talent. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite role requires residency or relocation to Virginia to support our historic mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Experience in recruiting or HR is required or preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through offer and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and candidate profiles.
• Develop and post engaging job descriptions across job boards, social media, and other recruiting platforms.
• Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and other recruitment channels.
• Review resumes and applications and conduct initial phone or video screenings.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Provide candidates with information about the company, position, benefits, and hiring process.
• Track candidates and maintain accurate recruitment records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Assist with background checks, reference checks, employment offers, and pre-employment requirements.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
• Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives.
• Monitor recruiting metrics and provide updates on hiring progress.
• Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
