Job summary

Koury Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our real estate team in Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation for each asset.

The ideal candidate will have real estate accounting experience and a solid understanding of property management financials, with strong Excel and ERP system skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field required.
• Experience with real estate accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property.
• Reconcile bank statements, tenant ledgers, prepaids, fixed assets, and equity accounts.
• Maintain general ledgers and record journal entries.
• Track accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process rent rolls, tenant billing, and CAM reconciliations.
• Prepare property budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate with property managers to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare year-end audit schedules and work with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies; support software implementations.
• Research and report on tenant and property accounts and transactions.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
