Waterfall Community Health Center is seeking an HR Assistant to support the Human Resources Director in implementing HR practices and upholding the center's mission.

Responsibilities include full cycle recruitment, onboarding, records management, payroll collaboration, and ensuring regulatory compliance across state and local laws. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human resources or related field preferred or equivalent combo.
• Two years HR experience preferred.
• Understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations.
• Experience with payroll practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to organization mission and remove barriers to care.
• Support internal HR inquiries and requests.
• Act as liaison between employees and management with HR Director.
• Maintain HR records, employee files, and handbook.
• Provide full cycle recruitment: postings, background checks, interviews.
• Facilitate onboarding and new hire paperwork completion.
• Collaborate with payroll to resolve inquiries and issues.
• Maintain Paid Leave Oregon recordkeeping and licensing records.
• Assist with termination paperwork and other duties as assigned.
