Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC partnered with a long‑standing organization in Spring Lake to recruit an Accountant who will become the finance lead during the transition to retirement. The role covers day‑to‑day accounting, internal controls, and reporting, with a hands‑on approach in a small team.

The ideal candidate brings 3–7+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in AP, AR, payroll, and month‑end close.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
• Experience with AP, AR, Payroll, and month-end close.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Accountant overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Partner with the external CPA on year-end activities, tax preparation, and audit support.
• Lead light budgeting and forecasting processes as the organization grows.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial documentation.
• Support leadership with ad-hoc reporting and financial insights.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness across all accounting functions as the organization’s sole Accountant.
