Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal motor vehicle laws and regulations.
• Experience with defensive tactics and use of force guidelines.

• Background as a certified peace officer and AZPOST compliance.

• CVSA certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state and federal motor vehicle laws at the Port of Entry.
• Screen driver credentials, weigh vehicles, and conduct inspections.
• Issue permits, route oversize loads, and collect fees and taxes.
• Prepare reports, testify in court when required, and maintain records.
• Operate law enforcement equipment and maintain firearms certification.
