Job summary

State of Arizona seeks an Enforcement & Compliance Full Authority Officer to protect life, property, and the state transportation network at the Port of Entry in Teec Nos Pos. The role requires enforcing motor vehicle laws and regulations, with testing in court as needed and travel across state lines.

The position offers a $4,000 hiring incentive and requires shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Background checks and AZPOST certification are mandatory.

Qualifications

• AZPOST Full Authority certification or comparable credentials are required.
• Experience in state or federal enforcement environments is preferred.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and testify in court when required.

Responsibilities

• Screen commercial driver/vehicle credentials and weigh vehicles.
• Perform enhanced vehicle identity inspections and registration compliance.
• Conduct commercial vehicle safety inspections and traffic stops as needed.
• Issue permits, route over-dimension loads, and collect applicable fees and taxes.
