Job summary

Cable One, Inc. is looking for a Field Technician in Edinburgh, Indiana to install and troubleshoot cable service drops for residential and business customers. The role requires good driving skills and experience in customer service.

Qualifications

• Good driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state where you are applying.
• At least 3 months of customer service or related experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to work in small and confined areas; lift up to 100lbs; work on a ladder; and work in all weather conditions.

• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues.
• Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at customer locations.

Job description

The Field Technician will install and troubleshoot cable service drops and outlets for residential and business customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and secure customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair reception performance issues.
• Resolve problems from the customer’s equipment to the output of the first distribution amplifier.
• Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer’s premises.
• Proactively suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on new or existing equipment.
• Take on additional duties that support the company’s purpose, brand principles, and organizational values.

Qualifications

• Good driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state where you are applying.
• Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to listen to customers and present solutions positively.
• Ability to work in small and confined areas; lift up to 100lbs.; work on a ladder; and work in all weather conditions.
