Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a customer-focused associate to pick, stage, and fulfill orders while keeping staging areas organized and safe.

You will operate powered equipment, validate orders, help customers, and support inventory accuracy as part of a collaborative team. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong communication in a fast-paced home improvement environment.

Qualifications

• 6 Months of Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 Months of Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• Powered Equipment Certification: Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck (Required; must be obtained if not already certified).
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• 6 Months of Retail experience is preferred.
• 6 Months of Experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden).
• 6 Months of Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
• Deliver excellent service by helping customers and directing them to the right associates.
• Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment following safety requirements.
• Support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App and maintaining SIMS compliance.
• Complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks and report safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a customer-first mindset with strong communication and teamwork.
• May be assigned other duties to support the needs of the business.
