Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group seeks an Operations Manager in Northeast, MD to lead a multi-station production department, manage inventory and end-to-end fulfillment, and drive continuous improvement. You will supervise teams, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate shifts to meet production goals.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in warehousing or related fields, and ability to mentor staff in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office and WMS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of managerial experience leading teams
• Experience in Warehousing, 3PL, Distribution or Manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Bilingual English/Spanish desired but not required
• Ability to multi-task and mentor teams in fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of WMS is desirable

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities in accordance with SOPs and ensure safety, quality and productivity
• Contribute to development of direct reports
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Ensure compliance with Safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT regulations
• Plan and coordinate shift activities to meet DC procedures
• Train and assess shift personnel per company guidelines
• Support fulfillment strategies across departments
• Monitor production and personnel statistics and drive improvements
