Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking a Merchandise Handler I to support distribution center activities, including inbound/outbound shipments, order picking, packing, inventory movement, and storage. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

You will rotate through departments, operate RF scanners and automated tools, verify shipments, and assist with loading/unloading and replenishment. High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.
• Rotate through departments to meet business demands.
• Participate in training on technology upgrades and new systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; manage packing materials and pallets.
• Report issues and inventory discrepancies to leadership.
• Load and unload trailers; build pallets and stage merchandise.
• Assemble boxes, package merchandise, label and quality check orders.
• Accurately pick customer orders using RF/scanners and automation.
• Verify received and outbound shipments against manifests; record variances.
• Replenish merchandise into designated pick locations using handheld RF equipment.
