Job summary

Crate & Barrel in Cranbury, NJ is seeking a Merchandise Handler I to support distribution center operations. You will handle inbound/outbound shipments, order picking, packing, inventory movement, and storage while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.

This role requires basic English, ability to lift up to 65 lbs, and willingness to rotate through departments. Training on RF scanners and voice-picking tech will be provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers manually or using dollies.
• Build stable pallets and stage unloaded merchandise accurately.
• Assemble boxes, package merchandise, label and perform final quality checks on orders.
• Accurately pick customer orders using automated technologies (voice picking, robotic tools, conveyor systems).
• Verify received and outbound merchandise against manifests/tickets; tally shipments and record overages, shortages, or damages.
• Sort, unwrap, unpack, identify, label, and palletize products; replenish pick locations using handheld RF equipment.
