Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in one of our fulfillment centers or related operations buildings. This entry-level, full-time role emphasizes mentoring, motivating, and developing your team to meet goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will oversee day-to-day operations on the floor, support shift patterns, and drive performance across the Operations network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with completion between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)
