Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for on-site operations in AL. You will lead and develop a team of 50-100 associates in a fast-paced warehouse, ensuring safety, quality and productivity.

The role requires hands-on leadership, shift coverage, and the ability to adapt to nights and weekends as needed. You will mentor staff, drive performance, and coordinate with support teams to remove roadblocks while ensuring excellent customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required to start
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (where applicable).
• Lift up to 49 pounds and climb stairs as needed.
