Job summary

Akima Readiness Support (ARS), an Akima company, seeks a Fuels Distribution System Operator Lead at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. You will supervise Fuels Management Team tasks, ensure safety and accountability, and operate or supervise fuel transfers and related operations to sustain 24/7 mission readiness.

You must be a U.S. citizen with a High School diploma, 5+ years of fuel handling experience, and a Class B CDL with tanker, air brake, and HAZMAT endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable fuel handling experience (e.g. with petroleum tank farm, flightline refueling operations, commercial tank truck petroleum experience).
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Possession of DoD secret clearance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as directed by applicable AFI/TO publications and ensure FDSO tasks are completed.
• Assigns FMT Management tasks to fuels personnel within the AOR.
• Provide expert technical advice to FMT on operational issues and ensure safety standards.
