Job summary

Amentum is seeking aFHE Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, and adjust pumps, control valves, meters, and pipelines for liquid fuel systems at airfields and bulk storage installations. The role involves preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of gauges, meters, and related equipment to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The position requires reading technical documents, performing repairs, and coordinating with team members and vendors.

Qualifications

• Certificate or equivalent with 5 years of experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety instructions and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fuel servicing equipment and systems.
• Inspect for leaks, corrosion, and faulty components; perform repairs as needed.
• Repair and calibrate pumps, valves, meters, and related equipment.
• Ensure safe handling of petroleum fuels and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Operate and troubleshoot pumps, turbines, and gas-powered equipment.
• Coordinate with team members and vendors for parts and services.
