Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Compliance Fuel Technician in Somers, CT to perform fuel system integrity testing and support work orders at various fueling facilities. Responsibilities include site prep, testing setup, manhole access, and DOT driving, with overtime opportunities.

The role emphasizes accurate testing results, quick reporting to partners, and adherence to safety protocols. Applicants should be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen.
• Mechanical background, hand tools, and trades or industrial settings are a plus.
• Physical capability: lifting 10-50lbs, kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
• Independent work ability and effective communication skills.
• Basic technology knowledge for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepping the site for testing.
• Setting up testing and safety equipment.
• Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access.
• Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle.
• Performs a variety of fuel containment tests, equipment integrity tests, and leak-detection tests to detect leaks or to prevent future leaks due to non-compliance or equipment failure.
