Job summary

OWL Services is seeking an Apprentice - Compliance Fuel Technician to join our Somers, CT team. You will assist with fuel systems integrity testing at retail, commercial and private fueling facilities, performing tests and documenting results.

The role requires a mechanical mindset, ability to handle tools, and strong safety awareness; periodic overtime is expected. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, HSA/FSA, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Must pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen.
• Clean driving record.
• Mechanical background and trades/industrial experience is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift 10–50 lbs, kneel, bend, reach and stand.
• Independent work skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepping the site for testing.
• Setting up testing and safety equipment.
• Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access.
• Driving a DOT-registered commercial vehicle.
• Performing fuel containment, integrity and leak-detection tests.
