Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Fueler Service Technician in San Diego, CA. Earn $29.30 per hour with weekly pay and a path for career growth in logistics. You will fuel, wash and detail vehicles, perform multi-point inspections and maintain fuel inventories.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, some related experience, and strong English communication. This first‑shift role runs Monday to Friday from 5:30am to 2:00pm; CDL-A is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years or more of related work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; understand customer's verbal communication.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash and detail vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures; check tire pressure; check oil; report service issues to shop.
• Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation.
• Move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks under close supervision.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance and minor maintenance tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned
