Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a dedicated Maintenance & Equipment staff member to perform a variety of fleet and industrial equipment tasks in our Distribution department. You will drive a refueling tanker, manage fuel logs, check fluid levels, and assist with bulk refueling and fuel audits, while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Capable of operating a computerized fuel-management system.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Able to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a refueling tanker using specialized computer fuel management equipment to locate trailers for fueling.
• Check refrigerated trailer fluid levels, add fluids as needed, maintain fuel logs, and refill the fuel tanker using safety equipment.
• Assist in bulk refueling, conduct fuel audits, and clean/detail equipment.

Required Qualifications

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one weeks' pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
