Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Georgia is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operator to support the ESL system, high-temperature processing, and batch blending for packaging readiness.

You will pull samples, test accuracy, operate CIP/COP, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, compliant environment while meeting GMPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor ESL system to ensure critical values are met and adjust as needed.
• Process fluid products at high temperatures in a hygienic environment.
• Blend raw materials in batch tanks using recipes.
• Pull product samples and test for accuracy.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot CIP and COP systems and sterilization.
• Maintain sanitary equipment and work area.
• Sterilize and operate ESL/UHT equipment and related systems.
• Reassemble equipment after cleaning and ensure it is safe and sterile.
• Record daily production data and regulatory information within control limits.
• Perform advanced repairs and preventative maintenance to keep sterile environments.

• Utilizing extreme attention to detail to monitor the complex Extended Shelf Life (ESL) system to ensure all critical values are met and adjusting as needed (steam pressures, water flows, instrumentation, etc.)
• Processing fluid products at high temperatures in a hygienic and tightly controlled environment and preparing them for packaging
• Using recipes to blend raw materials in batch tanks accurately before processing
• Pulling product samples and testing for accuracy
• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting CIP systems, COP systems and sterilization activities of the processing equipment
• Cleaning equipment and maintaining a sanitary work environment
• Cleaning, sterilizing and operating ESL/UHT and associated equipment (which includes homogenizers, tanks, CIP system, sterile air system, sterile lines and valves)
• Reassembling equipment after cleaning and ensuring it is safe and sterile
• Ensuring food safety and quality by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Complying with all safety regulations and guidelines
• Accurately recording daily production data and regulatory information and verifying they are within the established control limits for proper operation
• Maintaining a sterile environment by performing advanced repairs, preventative maintenance and major mechanical adjustments as needed

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
