Job summary

Wilcox + Flegel Oil Co. seeks a Fuel & Lubricants Account Specialist to join our Finance Team in Washington.

You will process fuel and lubricant invoices, review line items against Bills of Lading and Purchase Orders, and use variance reports to troubleshoot tax and pricing issues. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication with vendors, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, stable environment committed to growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable or Billing and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong technical and business aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Process Fuel Accounts Payable Bill of Lading and Fuel/Lube Invoices.
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Interact with vendors through email and/or phone calls as needed.
• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, customers, and Team Members.
• Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders to review and improve Fuel and Lubricant AP processes.
• Prepare and provide month end reports for outstanding drafts and BOLs and other reports as requested.
• Assist in month end closing.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Provide documentation from files on all items processed for audit samples and as requested.
• Cross-train in other duties within the AP department.
• Other duties as assigned.
