Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Fuel Handling Engineering Manager in Shoreview, MN. You will lead a diverse team of engineers and designers across multiple disciplines, modernizing technology and processes in support of the company’s clean energy goals.

You will report to the Director, Material Handling & Tooling Component Manufacturing and Engineering, and will be based in Shoreview with a hybrid work model requiring in-office presence 3–5 days per week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience with demonstrated leadership roles.
• Experience with QA programs and manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with modeling tools (ANSYS, Inventor, SolidWorks) and data management systems (PDM/PLM).
• Ability to influence others outside of own job area regarding policies.
• Lead organizational change and foster collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead 45+ engineers and designers across multiple disciplines.
• Manage two supervisors, each with 15–20 direct reports.
• Oversee Performance Feedback Plans and conduct regular one-on-one meetings.
• Guide hiring, onboarding, and talent development to maintain critical skills.
• Develop and execute resource and technical strategies including budget planning.
• Prioritize and lead process improvement and modernization projects.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards and safety requirements.
• Be a change leader adopting digital tools and model-based design.
