Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Fuel Handling Engineering Manager in Shoreview, MN. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 3–5 days per week and leads a 45+ engineering team across multiple disciplines to modernize technology and processes for nuclear fuel handling.

You will report to the Director of Material Handling & Tooling Component Manufacturing and Engineering, influencing policy, coordinating with global teams, and guiding talent development while delivering on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; I&C preferred.
• PE license is a plus.
• 8+ years engineering experience with leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 45+ engineers and designers across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee two supervisors and 15–20 direct reports each.
• Drive resource planning, budget management and project schedules.
• Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve design quality.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Foster collaboration with global Westinghouse teams and internal manufacturing.
